STATEMENT
Homeowners are young, successful entrepreneurs and the demands of a new business prompted moving closer

into the city. For their new home they wanted a contemporary feel with “Balinese/tropical” influences. Purchasing an

older tear down home in an established neighborhood with tree-lined streets provided the idyllic atmosphere. Modern
aesthetics and clean, sleek lines were important in the design, but avoiding a sterile, museum-like feel was paramount.

An open floor plan created an easy inside/outside flow for casual entertaining, and walls of retractable windows capture

natural light. Creating an aesthetically beautiful home was important, but most essential was for the house to feel
comfortable and relaxed and become the kid magnet house. A basement game room keeps “kid clutter” centralized and

out of sight. Rear entertainment areas provide ample space for both adults and kids to play. In the homeowners’ words,

“We don’t need to leave town to take a vacation!”
